One of the major events that affected me was ironically when both my father and step father passed away the same year. This tragic turn of events not only left an emotional burden on my mother, but a financial one as well. Being left with nothing, I felt that it was my obligation to step into the place as the main provider in our household to alleviate the enormous strain that was unexpectedly hurled at my mother. At seventeen, I dropped out of school to fulfill the role as the breadwinner for my family, however, the way I went about attaining this was through a corrupt lifestyle. Due to these events, the anger, resentment and pain that I had internalized caused me to act out in extremely hostile ways towards others. I was never an immoral person, however, my actions became questionable due to all of the pain that I harbored within myself.

Fast forward a few years later, I got into a severe car accident, leaving my spine critically injured. As a form of rehabilitation, I took to calisthenics. Not only did this heal my physical injury, but it also helped me come to terms with the many traumatic events that I had endured in my childhood. I soon became addicted to calisthenics and in 2013 I began to gain notoriety in the sport by winning several competitions, morphing into the persona that most know me as today: Brooklyn Tank.

My purpose and motivation for creating the Arsenal Training Program is so that I can have other people train the way that I have found to be successful for the past two decades. An Arsenal Athlete is a person who has zero weak links within their physiques. This training program will force you to push yourself not physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. In today’s fitness industry, the majority of people are so concerned solely on their physical appearance and nothing else, however my training program is the complete opposite of that. Arsenal Training is more about what you can DO with your body. The looks that you ultimately gain from it is just a bonus.
